Few Operators Continue to Complete Wells in Karnes

Many operators continue to focus in on core acreage as completion counts stay depressed in this low commodity price environment. Operators like Marathon have continued to complete wells in Karnes this year, completing 47 wells* in the past 6 months compared to the 191 total in 2015. Marathon is expected to complete 124 to 132 gross wells in the Eagle Ford this year allocating $600 million in CAPEX to the basin.
