New Well Highlights from Permian, Williston, and Eagle Ford

EOG in Permian (2019-01-21) and (2019-01-29)

EOG Resources reported two completions in the Permian basin in Lea, New Mexico.

The Ares 4 State #202 H was drilled to a measured depth of 14,905 ft in the upper bone spring formation. Drilled to a vertical depth of 9,920 ft with a 21 stage 4,985 ft lateral length, the Ares is an oil well and flowed 1,580 bbl of oil with a gas-oil ratio of 2958 Kcf/bbl.

The Heartthrob 17 State #708H flowed 2,532 bbl of oil and 5,538 MMcf of gas with a flowing casing pressure of 3436 PSI, producing 3,455 boe daily and 103,650 boe monthly. The Heartthrob was drilled in the upper wolfcamp trend to a vertical depth of 12,534 ft and a 5,041 ft lateral length with 16 stages.

Marathon in Eagle Ford (2019-01-25)

Marathon reported the completion of two new wells in the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk formations in Karnes, Texas. Schlumberger provided pressure pumping and proppant for both completions.

The Turnbull Unit G 1H was equipped with a downhole actuation sleeve with an actuation pressure of 9,585 PSIG. It produced 1,678 bbl of oil, 2,354 MMcf of gas, and 1,170 bbl of water from 11,722 ft and 17,058 ft. Unit G 1H was drilled to a measured depth of 17,180 ft with a 5,765 ft lateral.

The Turnbull Unit G 3H produced 1,847 bbl of oil, 2,595 MMcf of gas, and 1,121 bbl of water with an actuation pressure of 9,596 PSIG at 11,720 ft and 17,448 ft. Unit G 3H was drilled to a vertical depth of 11,406 ft and a measured depth of 17,579 ft.

Whiting Oil and Gas in Williston (2019-01-25)

A completion was reported by Whiting Oil and Gas in the Williston basin in McKenzie county, North Dakota. It boasts the highest estimated first 30 Days IP compared to wells completed within a 20 mile radius in 2018, including other Whiting Oil and Gas completions.

Drilled to a measured depth of 20,990 ft, the Stenehjem Federal 24-7-2H produced 3,131 barrels of oil, 6,036 MMcf of gas, and 2,423 bbl of water for a monthly production of 124,110 boe. The Stenehjem was stimulated 41 stages across 9,089 foot lateral with a max PSI of 8,970 and a max rate of 55.5.

Hess completes 2 mile lateral in Williston (2019-01-25)

The SC-1WX-152-99-0809H-S was completed by Hess in McKenzie, North Dakota and drilled to a vertical depth of 11,042 ft with a lateral length of 10,233 ft perforated from 11,287 ft to 21,244 ft.  It produced 2,794 bbl of oil, 3,090 MMcf of gas, and 2,214 bbl of water for a monthly production of 9.7 boe per lateral foot. Base carrier fluid is self provided, with Halliburton supplied solvent and proppant.
